Icon Development, constructed and built out a Bar & Grill in Historic Kirkwood, located in Atlanta, Georgia. This project was the last portion of the redevelopment of the Sutton Whisenhut Building inKirkwood’s commercial district. We converted a grocery store catering to lower income residences, into a local bar and grill. Project included gutting of 2800 sqft space, installing a full commercial kitchen, 2 ADA bathrooms, new storefronts, as well as the change of use from retail to restaurant.

Icon Development, constructed and built out a Coffee Shop in Historic Kirkwood, located in Atlanta, Georgia. This was the first viable business in the redevelopment of Historic Kirkwood's commercial district. We converted a grocery store catering to lower income residences, into a hip place for the community to gather. Project included gutting of 1400 sqft space, installing a small commercial kitchen, 2 ADA bathrooms, new storefronts, as well as the change of use from retail to restaurant.

Gathering Grounds, Coffee Shop

Icon Development, constructed and built out a Coffee Shop in Historic Kirkwood, located in Atlanta, Georgia. This was the first viable business in the redevelopment of Historic Kirkwood’s commercial district. We converted a grocery store catering to lower income residences, into a hip place for the community to gather. Project included gutting of 1400 sqft space, installing a small commercial kitchen, 2 ADA bathrooms, new storefronts, as well as the change of use from retail to restaurant.

Redevelopment of a 7,200 sq. ft., two-story commercial building (circa 1926) located in the Kirkwood neighborhood of the city of Atlanta. Building consisted of a grocery store, a shoe shine/game room, and a closed club with minor fire damage on the second level. Building has been successfully redeveloped and currently houses ACES (a neighborhood bar and grill), Sacred Grounds (Independent Coffee House), Taki (Hair Salon), and a mixed use loft on the second story.
